Class of 1958 50th Reunion Schedule:
Friday, April 4
Noon Planned Giving Luncheon
Fireside Room in the Cromer Center
Presentation by David Yoder '02, certified financial planner. "The Dimensional Wealth." David speaks on the total wealth management philosophy that integrates the financial, personal and social dimensions of wealth. Lunch will be served during this time. $10 per person
12:30 pm 1948 Class Reunion - 60th!
President Powell's Home
Enjoy a lunch with President Powell and his wife, Joyce, at their home and with some of your L-R classmates. $10 per person 
Registration packets for those who've paid in advance for Fridays' events will be available in the Cromer Center Lobby beginning at 11 a.m. 
2:00 pm  Campus Tours
Begins at the Alumni House
Students will give tours of campus buildings, including the McCrorie Center, the Living Learning Center, the Mauney-Shaeffer Building, and show you the changes taking place for our Greek Village, and the plans for Fritz-Conrad's facelift. 
6 - 10 pm 1958 Reunion - 50th!
Lake Hickory Country Club
Social hour followed by a dinner buffet. Each classmate in attendance will receive a fifty-year reunion booklet. (If you have not already done so, please click here and fill out a biographical sheet and return it with a recent photo for inclusion in the booklet.) $45 per person / Cash Bar

Registration packets for those who've paid in advance will be available in the Cromer Center Lobby beginning at 8 a.m.

8:30 - 10 am Golden Bears Breakfast

All L-R Alumni from the classes of 1958 and earlier are invited to the 12th annual gathering of the Golden Bears hosted by L-R President Dr. Wayne Powell in the "original" Dining Hall. The class of 1958 will be honored guests as you receive your Golden Bear Pins. $10 per person (Class of 1958 guests of the Alumni Association)

10:30 am Alumni Association Awards Ceremony - Belk Centrum
Belk Centrum
The L-R Alumni Association invites all alumni to the Annual Alumni Awards Ceremony.  Your class will be recognized and the class gift will be announced. 
11:30 am Alumni Weekend Luncheon - Cromer Center Dining Hall
Enjoy a buffet luncheon and visit with classmates, friends and faculty. Reserved seating for the Class of 1948, Class of 1958, and the Class of 1968. $10 per person
1:30 pm Band Room Dedication
Mauney Music Building
The President of Lenoir-Rhyne invites you to join us as we celebrate the dedication of The Doug and Pat Saunders Band Room. Given in honor and recognition of their many years of loyal support and encouragement for the Lenoir-Rhyne Music Program. The Sanders Band Room is located just off the lobby. Join some of L-R's student groups for pre-game goodies and fun with Greek and social fraternities and sororities, and L-R's multi-generational families that have attended the College.

A football game in the spring? You aren't seeing things, join the L-R men as they play what has become their traditional spring scrimmage game. No Charge

Post-Game BBQ
Sponsored by Piedmont Educational Foundation (PEF), join us for a bear-sized BBQ complete with great food and fellowship.
$12 per person for adults, $6 per child (12 and under).

 St.  Andrews Lutheran Church

Join us for a special worship service across the street for those who hold L-R near and dear to their hearts.

Downtime to drive to Boone or Blowing Rock, shop in 
Hickory, or visit with friends or on campus some more!

7:00 pm Concert Series Finale
P.E. Monroe Auditorium
End your weekend with the lively music of the St. Louis Brass Quintet, America's longest standing brass quintets. No charge.

  • The Fairfield Inn has been designated as the official hotel for the Class of 1958.  To make your reservations, call the Fairfield Inn at 828-431-3000. Be sure to tell them you are a member of a Lenoir-Rhyne College Class Reunion to get a discounted rate.

  • The Reunion Planning Committee will be putting together a Golden Anniversary Directory.  Even if you are unable to attend, be sure to fill out a biographical sheet and return it with a recent photo to the Alumni Office by March 31 for inclusion in the directory.  CLICK HERE  to print a biographical form.

  • The Reunion Planning Committee is also creating a reunion video.  Please help by sending us any recent photos of you and your family or from your college days to: Suzanne Jackson, L-RC, PO Box 7228, Hickory, NC 28603 by March 24. Write your name and address on the back of the photos, so they can be returned.
