Finance Major

The Finance curriculum provides an understanding of the financial decision-making process in the private and public sector and understanding of  how financial markets operate. This major prepares students for financial and general management careers in private, business organizations, nonprofit organizations, and government.

Students who major in finance can look for exciting careers in commercial and investment banking, real estate, corporate finance management and treasury functions, and insurance organizations. In addition, finance is important for management careers in organization planning, financial analysis, management consulting,  and small business management. Graduates from the program are also well-prepared for postgraduate studies in all areas of business.
