2006 CIMAS Scholars

Scholars of the Carolina Institute for the Multicultural Approach for Math and Science for the year of 2006 consists of: Jazmine Walker, Aerial Smith, Trenton Evans, Katie Ramseur, Shana Blount, Omar Santiago, Crystal Tsang, Christa Carter, Denzel Jones, Miguel Hernandez, Juvarez Ogbuneke, Jordan McIntyre, Clarissa Richardson, Breana Carter, Brandon Crutchfield, Raul Belmonte, Terrick Nelson, Donavan Harbison, and Shenika Taylor.

    The Students have a daily schedule in which to follow each day. We have a curfew, but needless to say, some get broken. For instance, hardly no one goes to bed at the scheduled time or get off of their phones at 10p.m. ("What were they thinking about making that rule?" :-) Each day the students go to class till five o'clock, and at the end of the day, there is an activity scheduled for them to do. Some of them are movie night at the dorm, games, bowling, and laser tag. Being here at the CIMAS program is a good experience for the scholars to enhance on their science and math skills and to become more critical thinkers. Also, it is a good way to meet new people and make new friends.
