Main Counseling Application
Procedure
The Office of Admissions &
Financial Aid
receives all applications for admission to graduate study and
establishes a folder for each applicant. The following items are
collected:
completed application
required fees
transcripts
references
GRE scores
Complete applications are reviewed
by the Graduate Studies Council Admissions Sub-committee at
designated times. The Dean of Academic Affairs will notify each
applicant, in writing as to the admissions decision and supply
the applicant with appropriate instructions.
NOTE: Candidates
who will be seeking Graduate licensure as a public school
counselor will be required to pass the counseling specialty area
exam of the Praxis and make application for that license. These
applications will be available from the secretary in the
Department of Education and Counseling and must be returned to
that office.
