Internship Handbook

MIDDLE GRADES EDUCATION (6-9)
This major is intended to prepare teachers for middle or junior high schools. The requirements provide breadth in the liberal arts and study in the professional discipline of education, with emphasis on the instructional needs of the early adolescent. Specialization areas are: Communication Skills, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Student teaching is done in one of grades 6 through 9 during the spring semester of the senior year.
