Facility Usage Guidelines
Refreshments
If your event requires catering contact Aramark at ext. 7005 to make
all necessary arrangements. Aramark needs at least 10 days notice
for catering requests. Dining hall trays must be returned to dining
hall after your meeting.
Alcohol
Policy
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on campus without prior approval
from the Vice President and Dean of Students. The forms may be picked up
at the Event Services office.
Client
Responsibility
If your event involves a guest speaker or entertainers of any sort, you
are responsible for the actions of your guests. You are also responsible
for any contractual requests made by your guests. If your event
requires equipment beyond what the college can provide, you are
responsible for renting or securing that equipment. You are
responsible for fees if excessive cleanup is necessary after your event.
Glitter and confetti are prohibited. You must remove all decorations after
your event. As a consideration to others, if you change the room
arrangement, please return the room to its original condition after your
event.
Interpreter
If your event requires an interpreter for deaf or hard-of-hearing guests,
please contact Support Services for Deaf & Hard of Hearing at
(828)328-7298.
Equipment
If your event requires equipment beyond what the college can provide, you
are responsible for renting or securing that equipment.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any Lenoir-Rhyne University facility.
Advertising
If you hang flyers to advertise your event, it is your responsibility to
remove those flyers (on campus as well as throughout town) after your
event. Flyers must not be placed on glass surfaces. The Student Affairs
Office must approve all flyers for on-campus advertising.
Technical
Rider
A Technical Rider must be completed for all events in the P.E. Monroe
Auditorium and Belk Centrum. Also complete this form if your event
requires technical support in other areas of campus. A Technical Rider is
defined as a written explanation and list of any and all technical needs
including, but not limited to microphones, lighting, video, film,
overhead, music, tables, chairs, etc. The Campus Technical Director must
receive the Technical Rider no less than two weeks before event.
