Purpose
Lenoir-Rhyne College is very fortunate to have the partnership of over
100 businesses annually in our quest for educational excellence.
In 2005 the estimated economic impact Lenoir-Rhyne had on the Unifour
area alone was over $73 million. Area businesses, industry,
educational organizations and the College work together to enhance the
quality of life in the Unifour and to provide mutually beneficial
opportunities for all groups to prosper.
Lenoir-Rhyne's Business Council was established in 1983 to promote
a better understanding of the College and its programs within the
business community, to provide unique learning opportunities for
students and businesses.
Activities
Presentations, seminars,
roundtable discussions, and membership meetings provide businesses an
opportunity to network with one another, consult other experts and
provide students an opportunity to learn from business executives and
professionals.
Benefits
Utilizing the College's student interns, participating in
on-campus job fairs at member rates, and receiving priority
registration and discounts for continuing education courses are just a
few of the tangible benefits of Business Council membership. However,
knowing that your participation in the Business Council positively
impacts the quality of life in our region by supporting the
educational and cultural offerings of Lenoir-Rhyne College is perhaps
the best benefit of all.
