Shakespeare probably had it
right when he said “the past is prologue” — what has happened in the
past is just a beginning.
As LRC Alumni and friends know,
Lenoir-Rhyne
College
has had a long, glorious past, and has helped create for many a rewarding
and meaningful life.
While we remember and honor the past, we should be ever mindful that
the future is yet to come. We already know the future for Lenoir-Rhyne will
be exciting in the energy it will bring, visionary in its thoughtful and
deliberate growth, and challenging in asking us all to play a vital role in
that growth.
While many of us “mourn” the loss of some of LRC’s “physical
past” (one being Highland Hall), we only have to look at the LRC students
and alumni to realize that the importance of the past is evidenced in the
meaningful lives that have been — at least in part — forged by the
special nature of an LRC education.
As Co-Chairs of the 2007-2008 Annual Fund, we
strongly encourage each of you to play a vital role in the future of
LRC by giving or continue giving, as well as increasing your giving — any
size gift will be appreciated. Donors
help students prepare to make a difference in this world!
Your loyalty to Lenoir-Rhyne College will enable many students to
benefit personally from the value the LRC experience can add to one’s
life, and that same gift will ensure LRC’s continuation and growth as a
private liberal arts college unsurpassed in the Southeast.
