Master of Science in Athletic Training 

Admissions Policies and Procedures
 

Admissions Policies and Procedures are consistent with the graduate school at Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Office of Admissions & Financial Aid receives all applications for admission to graduate study.  Each applicant must meet the following minimum criteria:

ü       An undergraduate cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of  2.7 on a 4.0 scale;

ü       A minimum MAT (Miller Analogy Test) score of 390, OR

ü       GRE Test Score:       950          Minimum Combined Verbal and Quantitative Score
                                450          Minimum on the Verbal Section
                                3.0           Minimum on the Analytical Writing Sample

ü       Three letters of recommendation (detailed instruction provided in the application packet)

ü       A written essay articulating your reasons for pursuing the MS in AT;

ü       Must have a current medical form on file which provides evidence of satisfactory physical and emotional health;

ü       Must complete all pre-requisite courses with no grade lower than a C;

ü       Must provide proof of Emergency Cardiac Care certification as defined by the BOC;

ü       Must have documentation of a minimum of 75 observational hours with a certified athletic trainer;

ü       Must submit a signed copy of the program Technical Standards;

ü       An interview with the program faculty may be required.
