Biography
Dr. McGee is beginning
his 15th year as Lenoir-Rhyne’s Director of Sports Medicine and his
13th as the Head Athletic Trainer.
Dr. McGee is responsible for the coordination of both
academic and athletic components of the athletic training program.
He also serves as an assistant professor in the School of Health
Sciences.
Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Dr. McGee was employed as a
visiting lecturer in the department of physical education and
exercise and sports sciences at the University of North Carolina.
During his stay at UNC, Dr. McGee served as a graduate assistant
athletic trainer for women’s soccer, indoor track and tennis.
Dr. McGee, who holds certification from the National
Athletic Trainers Association, is a resident of Claremont, N.C., and
a graduate of Bunker Hill High School.
While at UNC, Dr. McGee was a two-time recipient of the
Teaching Assistant of the Year award and was recognized all four
semesters for excellence in teaching.
