Biography

 

     Dr. Stadden joined the faculty at Lenoir-Rhyne College in August 2007 where she serves as Assistant Professor of Healthful Living and Sport Studies and Assistant Athletic Trainer. Dr. Stadden is responsible for teaching the Psychological Aspects of Sport and Physical Activity course and several courses within the athletic training program. Dr. Stadden is also responsible for overseeing the athletic training services provided to student-athletes participating in golf, tennis, and swimming at LRC.


     Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Dr. Stadden served as a teaching/research assistant at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro while completing her PhD. Dr. Stadden has worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Instructor at the NCAA Division III and NAIA levels, as an Athletic Trainer providing high school outreach services, and as a Physical Therapy Aide in the outpatient physical therapy setting.


     Dr. Stadden holds certifications through the Board of Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer and through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners to practice as an athletic trainer. Dr. Stadden is also a certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor through the American Red Cross and holds memberships to three professional organizations, including the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
