When I Need to go to the Doctor or Hospital

Lenoir-Rhyne University health insurance for employees is with Cigna. Participants choose between an open access H.M.O. and a Point of Service Plan.

If you are covered on the University group, you should have received materials related to your coverage. You should have plan booklets, a preferred provider directory, prescription benefit information, and an ID card. If you are covered and do not have these materials, you should contact the benefits office at extension 7018 or Ann Marie Blackmon at blackmona@lrc.edu. It is important that you carry all current cards on your person and keep current information handy. Make sure your providers have copies of your current insurance informations. You should discard all outdated insurance materials.

For details of coverage go to www.myCigna.com, or call the benefits office.

If you are covered by the University total disability insurance, you should have received materials related to your coverage. Be sure to carry your Unum "Universal Access" ID card when traveling more than 100 miles from home.

NOTE: All information relative to group insurance is subject to change upon plan year renewal, June 1 each year.
