           Archival records are grouped generally by the creator or source of the records.  If the record was created by an off-campus entity, it is grouped with the campus individual or organization which stored the record.  If the record does not relate directly to Lenoir-Rhyne College, it is grouped according to its content (e.g., Karl C. Garrison, or Concordia College).
            Where known, a date is attributed to each folder of records.  A date range, such as 1938-1946, reflects the dates of the earliest and latest records in the folder; records for intervening years may or may not be included.
