Message from the director Spring 2008
If you're thinking the online catalog looks a little different this semester, you are not imagining it. We have just migrated to a new catalog and circulation system, hosted by the Appalachian College Association. The functionality is much the same, but you may notice some improved features. We are very busy in the library mastering a few new tricks of the trade.
Powersearch, the "federated search" engine which we introduced last fall, is still the biggest news of the year. Please try it out if you haven't done so. This is a discovery platform that allows you to figure out what databases are the richest for your needs. Ask for help any time!
We'll have some exciting collection news soon. Stay tuned.
