Reference Librarian, 828.328.7237
You need information. Soon! Whether it's one quick fact or a whole list of research materials, library staff members are ready to help you find information. They will work with you in the library or, if it's more convenient, by telephone or email.
Here's how to get help:
-
Ask at the reference desk. It's just to the right as you enter the library and is staffed at busier times of the day and evening.
-
Ask at the circulation desk. It's the counter right between the library entry and exit. When no one's at the reference desk , the circulation assistants will get help for you.
-
Email refdesk@lrc.edu. Staff members regularly check for questions during library operating hours. If you are using a non-L-R email account, please give your full name.
-
Ask the Reference Librarian. Come by the office, telephone, or email. You may make an appointment, but it's often not necessary.
-
Ask any staff member. They will help you or refer you to someone who can.
The library staff is pleased to help you get the information you need, but we also know that it's just as important for you to be able to get information on your own. We offer instructional presentations throughout the year to specific classes and orientation events. We hope that every Lenoir-Rhyne student will have the opportunity to attend at least one of these sessions.
Instructors or other staff members may request a class
presentation by contacting the Reference Librarian. We also offer
brief tours and instruction to individuals, by appointment.
