Common problems in getting started

1. Screen too light or blank, even though calculator is turned on.

Fix: Darken the screen, by pressing [2^nd] [uparrow key]

2. Screen completely black

Fix: Lighten the screen, by pressing [2^nd] [downarrow key]

3. Calculator won’t graph: it reads ERR: WINDOW RANGE

Fix: Make sure Xmin is smaller than Xmax, and Ymin is smaller than Ymax

4. Graph doesn’t match what you expected it to look like

Fix: Make sure you entered the function correctly – keep numerator and

Denominator in parentheses, etc.

5. Can’t get weighted mean, screen reads ERR: DIM MISMATCH

Fix: Make sure the data list and weighting list have the same number of elements

6. ERR: SYNTAX

Fix: Make sure you didn’t confuse the subtraction key with the negative key

7. Strange looking decimals

Fix: Make sure that in [MODE] you have (Float) highlighted
