The Program
The program is designed for anyone over age 18 who seriously wants to learn to speak Spanish, and who is willing to to immerse himself or herself in the language and culture for 9 weeks.  Seven different courses are offered to meet the needs of intermediate and advanced students, those who have studied at least one year of college Spanish or its equivalent.  Traditional-age college students majoring or minoring in Spanish who want the fun of travel and study abroad as well as those who simply wish to fulfill their college's language requirement, teachers, business professionals or others who desire a pleasant, intensive language learning experience will find the program ideal.  Students attend small classes with experienced Ecuadorian professors, live with an Ecuadorian family and enjoy field trips that include an excursion into the tropical rain forest, Andean Indian markets and other sites of cultural and geographic interest.
