Music Scholarships
Audition dates and literature suggestions .
At Lenoir-Rhyne we feel so
strongly about music, we are offering a series of scholarships. If you qualify you may
receive music scholarships totaling up to $20,000 during four years of
study.
- Talent
Scholarships in Music for both majors and double majors require an audition,
academic achievement and music experience. These instrumental and vocal awards are
renewable and are up to $5,000 each year.
- Sacred Music
Scholarships are available for students in Sacred Music Degree and Sacred Music
Concentration programs. These substantial awards are renewable each year.
- Music Minor
Scholarships for non-music majors following a music minor are awarded to
qualified students based on audition. These renewable awards are up to $2,500
each year.
- Performance Scholarships are awarded to students who participate in
the either the A Cappella Choir (vocalists) or
the Concert Band (instrumentalists), at least one other ensemble in their major area (College Singers,
Brass Ensemble,
Jazz Ensemble, and
Percussion Ensemble), and enroll in an
Applied Music course each semester. These renewable awards are up to $2,500
each year.
All students receiving
music scholarships must participate in their Major Ensemble and one other
ensemble (to be selected by the music faculty) and be enrolled in MUS 131 (or
higher level applied) each semester.
