The Blakemore Trio is the newest ensemble in residence at the Blair School. Finding their artistic paths crossing at the Blair School, violinist Carolyn Huebl, cellist Felix Wang, and pianist Amy Dorfman established the trio in the fall of 2003. Already the exciting ensemble has had an impact on the musical life in Nashville and in the region. In addition to its commitment to perform the monuments of the piano trio repertoire, the trio envisions adding new and vibrant works to the genre, and in fact has already commissioned a new trio by Tennessee composer Paul Osterfeld, which will be premiered in the spring of 2005.
