Give Us Light (2005) for Eb Contra-alto Clarinet and Tape
This piece is a setting of an Indian Hymn by Charles Vas. The soprano is Lenoir-Rhyne graduate Laura Voelkert Weant. She was recorded singing the hymn, and then it was mixed and manipulated to create the tape accompaniment.  Written shortly after the Tsunami, it is dedicated to those who survived, passed away, and suffered loss.

River Force (2005)
A duel improvisation in which L-R graduate Robbin Isenhour drew the artwork on the right while Joseph Dorsch improvised on the baritone saxophone.  The end result is a piece of artwork as well as a piece of music-each inspired by the other.  This was performed live in November, 2005.
