Playmakers to present "The Songs of Robert"

The Playmakers of Lenoir-Rhyne College will be presenting a concert reading of “The Songs of Robert” by John Crutchfield. Performances will be held at Oct. 4-5 at 7 p.m., Oct. 6-7 at 8 p.m., and a Sunday matinee Oct. 8 at 2 p.m.

Written by local playwright/poet John Crutchfield, “The Songs of Robert” was originally a two-man show produced off-off Broadway in the mid 1990s. It is a love story about a young man and the unobtainable “dark-haired girl”.

All performances will take place at The Fireman’s Kitchen of the Hickory Community Theatre. This production is free, and reservations are not needed. For more information, call the Playmakers Box Office at 328-(PLAY).
