MBA program has special emphasis
Lenoir-Rhyne College has recently added a master of business administration degree to meet the needs of working professionals in the Hickory area.

The MBA program at Lenoir-Rhyne has a managerial emphasis focusing on creative problem solving in the business world. In keeping with the College’s identity as a Christian institution, the MBA program emphasizes the importance of ethical decision-making. The College believes that quality decision-making requires that managers consider what is good and right for all stakeholders, basing their actions on a well-thought-out set of principles.

Members of the MBA faculty have outstanding credentials including advanced degrees and broad business experience. The MBA program consists of 36 semester hours, which are taught in the evenings to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. The course requirements may be completed in 24 months, although students may take as long as six years to earn a degree.

Admission to the MBA program is based upon several factors, including academic achievement, the applicant’s score on the Graduate Management Aptitude Test, professional work experience and completion of MBA foundations coursework. Students who have non-business undergraduate degrees may partially fulfill the foundations coursework requirement by participating in a series of Executive Business Seminars focusing on accounting, finance, marketing and management.

For more information about the Executive Business seminars or the MBA program, contact the Graduate School by phone at (828) 328-7275, or by e-mail at graduate@lrc.edu .
