As a social science, psychology
studies these questions from both a scientific and
values-oriented perspective. Such issues can be
studied by the scientific method, but also must be put
into the perspective of the liberal arts and of the
Christian faith. Pornography, for example, can be
studied scientifically to understand its relation to
violence; but there are also questions of the human
condition that need also be addressed to gain a deeper
perspective of the subject. That's what makes the
study of psychology most interesting! |
