The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown: A fatal pack of distortions
This popular book is packed with misinformation concerning what is really known about Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Constantine, the Catholic Church and the Opus Dei organization. If you have read The Da Vinci Code, you owe it to yourself to inoculate yourself against its disinformation. Read on ...
Criticism and commentary:The Da Vinci Code is not mere fiction. It is a piece of deliberate pseudo-historical propaganda that also happens to be grossly offensive to believing Christians. More even than that, the Da Vinci Code explicitly defames existing bodies and institutions, using their proper names as markers denoting vast malevolent conspiracies, duplicity, and murder. The Da Vinci Code is to Catholicism more or less what the anti-Semitic conspiracy theories of The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion were in relation to Jews and Judaism. (-- Kirk Kanzelberger)
