Child's Name
Alima Diarra

Country
Mali

Alima lives with her parents, one brother, and two sisters. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is a subsistence farmer, and her mother takes care of the household. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.

Alima is growing up in a semi-rural area, just 37 miles from our World Vision office. Family homes are constructed of mud bricks with straw thatched roofs. The local diet consists of sorghum paste dipped into beef or fish sauce. They also eat mangoes. The climate is very hot and dry for most of the year. And homes are on flat dry ground surrounded by shrubs and grasses.

Alima is in primary school, and she enjoys reciting poems and stories. She helps at home by doing the family chores. She likes to play group games. She is in good health.

Your sponsorship commitment will help provide Alima and her community with clean safe water and improved health care. With your support, children will be able to attend school. Inoculations against common diseases will be given to the children. Farmers will be encouraged to learn new farming methods so they can grow sustainable crops. And our loving staff, through witness, will help these precious families to know the grace and love of God.
