ZTA supports the fight against Breast Cancer
through several different education and awareness programs. In 1992 ZTA adopted
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as their national philanthropy.
Now they have boraded their horizons that not only encompasses the Komen Foundation
but other educational means in the fight against Breast Cancer, such as THINK-PINK!®,
NFL, collecting Yoplait lids, and of course the Race for the Cure. The Delta
Omicron chapter participates in the Race for the Cure every year to raise money
for the foundation, as well as many other activities on or off campus. This
year we hosted a Pink football game, where we sold many Think Pink items for the support
of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. For
the last two years the local cable network has worked with our chapter to film
public service announcements to promote the Race for the Cure on our campus
and the THINK-PINK!® campaign. Recently Zeta held a THINK-PINK!® basketball
game. They sold THINK-PINK!® T-shirts, baked and sold desserts.
