· Two 20
minute halves will be played with a 5 minute half time · There
will be a 5 minute overtime if game ends in a tie · Each team
is given 2 timeouts a half that are 30 seconds long · The clock
will run continuously unless an injury occurs or there is a timeout · Travel
calls result in a turnover. · There
will be a 1& 2 point basket, 2 pointers are beyond the three point
line. Dunking is allowed. · If fouled
while shooting then the team is automatically given either 1 or 2
points depending on where the foul occurred. · There
will be no free throws.. · If fouled
and the basket is good, an automatic point is granted for both 1 and 2
point shots. · If the
foul is not while shooting, then the team that was fouled gets the ball
out of bounds · If there
is an offensive foul then the other team gets the ball · Charging
must be blatant to call · Keep
profanity at a minimum. Individuals will be given a warning if it
occurs, but if the swearing continues, the other team will be granted 1
point. · After the
team scores, the ball must be taken out of bounds under the basket · If the
ball goes out during play, the team that gets the ball back must take it
out from the spot where it left the court If a player yells or directs profanity at the ref for
any reason, it will be a technical foul and the other team gets 2 points
and the ball back. ~ ~ ~ All games will be played in the intramural gym. If you have a problem with another teammate or team's playing style, let the ref know. If that doesn't work, let me know. You are only permitted to play with Lenoir-Rhyne University CURRENT students, faculty or staff. Former students, alums, those currently suspended, etc. are not eligible to play. If you cannot get enough players from your roster to play, you can sub another L-R student as long as they are not on another roster and follow the rules. If any team member shows up under the influence of drugs or alcohol - they will be banned from intramural activities for the remainder of the year and have school sanctioning. Switching teams is not permitted. |
