The Broyhill Leadership Institute

Broyhill Fellows must fulfill a comprehensive set of leadership opportunities, mentoring experiences, University events, and workshops scheduled throughout the year.  The specific requirements for each set of Broyhill Fellows may change at the discretion of William Mauney, the program coordinator. 

  • Attend a minimum of three meetings with their mentor
  • Attend both the Fall and Spring Broyhill Receptions
  • Participate in both the Fall and Spring Leadership Retreats (off-campus)
  • Participate in four Leadership Workshops designed by the Broyhill Program
  • Attend at least twelve University convocations and forums
  • Perform at least twenty hours of community service work
  • Conduct three interviews with community, national, or campus leaders
  • Actively participate in at least one non-social campus student organization
  • Design and carry out an individualized leadership experience
