      Your SGA: Purpose and Organization

The Lenoir-Rhyne Student Government Association is the largest student group on campus. It both represents and is made up of the entire student body of LRC. The student body elects representatives to serve as SGA officers, but all students are member of the Association.
All students, as members of SGA, are encouraged to attend all SGA meetings. Meetings are held every other Monday night at 8:30pm in McCrorie Center Main Floor.

One of SGA's primary functions is to disburse student activity funds in a responsible fashion. The Association obtains its funds from student fees each year. SGA receives approximately $30 per student per year, which it then uses to fund various campus events and projects designed to benefit the student body. We budget this money throughout the school year and allocate it to on-campus organizations who promote the good of the student body, as determined by the SGA, through a variety of student activities ranging from social events to learning opportunities.

Organizations may request SGA funds through a formal budget proposal that will be screened by the Finance Committee and then voted on by the entire SGA.

We hope you will plan to join us at our next meeting or SGA-sponsored event. Remember, it's YOUR SGA!!!
