What
Prologue Leaders Do
Prologue
leaders (PLs) are students who desire to help new
students begin their L-R career on a positive
note. They introduce new students to the
camps, the local community and help guide them
through their transition to Lenoir-Rhyne.
As
representatives of the University, they serve as
positive role models for new students. They offer
friendly assistance and answer questions from
students and their parents. They communicate
Lenoir-Rhyne's mission, values, policies, and
procedures and ensure appropriate conduct among
students.
The PLs gain
invaluable personal and professional experience,
including leadership skills, public speaking,
group dynamics
and teamwork among other things. Most
importantly, they have a great deal of FUN sharing
the L-R experience with new Bears and with each
other.
The
Orientation staff (Prologue leaders and
coordinators) is crucial to a successful Prologue
experience. Prologue
leaders’ primary role is to effectively execute
the Prologue agenda with enthusiasm for new
