Residence Life Frequently Asked Questions How are room assignments made? Room assignments are made based on the date of your deposit in the Admissions Office. We try to match roommates based upon the answers you provide on the Housing Information form. Therefore, it is imperative that you be as honest as possible in regard to your personal study and lifestyle habits. When will I find out what my room assignment is and who my roommate will be? Housing confirmations will be sent to all students in late July. The information you receive will include your room assignment, as well as the name, home address and phone number of your roommate. Once you receive your housing confirmation, it is a good idea to contact your roommate to start to get to know him/her and to decide who will bring the vital room "stuff," e.g. the stereo, TV, etc. What can I do if I want to live with a specific person? There is a space on the Housing Information form where you can request to live with a specific roommate. Only mutual, written requests can be honored. What are the room, bed, and window measurements? Specific room information can be found under the "Residences" portion of the Residence Life web pages. What size sheets should I buy? Mattresses are 75" or 80" depending on the room.
