Room Selection Process

(For current students)

The Lenoir-Rhyne College Room Lottery and Selection process for the upcoming academic year is scheduled in the latter half of the spring semester.  This process and has been determined to be the most equitable way to offer room selection to all resident students.

Those students graduating in May or those who meet the specified qualifications for off-campus status are not required to participate in Room Lottery and Selection process unless on-campus housing is desired.  However, if you plan to move off campus and meet the requirements, you must notify our office in writing to cancel your contract.  Failure to do this will result in breech of contract and you will be assessed a fine.  Please refer to your housing contract for specific details.

All students will be assigned a computer generated lottery number.  The numbers will be assigned randomly within each class according to credits earned as of the end of the fall semester.   Students with the highest number of credits earned will receive the lowest lottery numbers and will be allowed to select their rooms first.  Room selection will continue until all designated spaces on campus have been filled.

It is important for all resident students to participate in Room Lottery and Selection process unless you are graduating in May or meet the qualifications for off-campus status.  In order to participate in Room Lottery and Selection process, you must be registered for classes for the fall semester.  You must present your Lenoir-Rhyne College ID at all lottery events.
