Emergency Procedures Guide and Guidelines for Lenoir-Rhyne University

DIRECTION AND COORDINATION

  1.  All emergency operations shall be directed by the President of the University or his designate.

    In the absence of the University President or his designate, the on-duty Security Officer shall assume operational control of the emergency until relieved.

  2. All emergency operations shall be coordinated by the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, or his/her delegated alternate.  The direct operational control of the campus major emergency or disaster is the sole responsibility of the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs or his/her designate.  The coordination of campus emergency resource teams is the responsibility of the Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs and shall coordinate all on-campus emergency functions as directed.

CAMPUS EMERGENCY RESOURCE TEAM (TASK FORCE)

The Department of Security and Safety shall immediately begin contacting all necessary members of the Emergency Resource Team (Task Force) which consist of the following:

  1. The President (Task Force Leader) of Lenoir-Rhyne University or his/her designate.

  2. The Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs or his/her designate.

  3. The Vice President for Administration and Finance or his/her designate.

  4. The Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs or his/her designate.

  5. The Vice President for Institutional Advancement or his/her designate.
