Anti-Virus Information: Faculty & Staff

Faculty and staff computers are protected by Sophos Anti-Virus on the campus network. Updates are done automatically. You will receive a message on your screen when you need to re-boot your computer to activate the new updates. Sophos is the blue shield that’s located at the bottom right-hand corner of your monitor/desktop. To check for updates for this product and/or open the control panel for Sophos, right-click on the blue shield and choose the appropriate option.

Anti-Virus Information: Students

Resident students are expected to protect their computers with anti-virus software. The IT office also offers free copies of AVG anti-virus, available on CD from the IT office.
